Is there a tool which can convert any existing compiled map to an uncompiled version with the latest version map data structure so non-existent information can be added (e.g.Was trying to move my character to a new map to test out something, but the file is no longer there. It got deleted if you got killed, and could be moved between saved map folders.
Are the technical details available for the community to create such a tool? There used to be a file called mapp.bin on the saves before which was basically the survivor. Is there a special tool for this available?.I expect some of the main questions mappers might have are: It would allow anyone to fix errors, update textures, fix inter-map alignment, and more. maps to be brought up to the latest systems. It would allow abandoned, discontinued, handed-off, etc. It would allow for recovery of lost maps. Truncate the last digit of the coordinate so 11260圆690 becomes 1126圆69, then find that file name - in this case its map1126669.bin. I downloaded mods from the workshop (the 'korean city' one among many others) but when I access the server (from the game or with the dedicated server tool) I always get kicked because 'mapsmeta.bin cant be saved'. I think most in the modding community would agree that the ability to edit an existing map would serve many purposes. Hey everyone, So, Ive been trying to run a server on the 40.43 build to play with some friends. Has re-working existing maps been specifically disallowed somewhere? Such editing should be something we can do based on the terms of the granted rights. Modify the base files of Project Zomboid to include malicious code or other naughtiness. FYI, DO NOT go into the mapsand.bin and change anything, it will revert your settings to default despite what your sand.bin has in it.
